Mark Selander, “Drawing Ellipses for Fun and Profit” Nov 18th

WWU IDSA welcomes Mark Selander, designer and illustrator, will join us 7PM Thursday November 18th in ET 321. Mark will be speaking on his career path stemming from his ID education at Western. See below for more info on Mark or you can check out his Ignite presentation here.

Mark Selander graduated from Western Washington University's ID program in 1998.  After leaving Bellingham he immediately found work digging ditches for a summer before landing his first professional design position creating props and backgrounds for Will Vinton Animation Studios in Portland OR. He then moved to Seattle to work for Microsoft developing games for the original XBOX and XBOX 360 before heading out on his own as an independent designer and illustrator.  His current focus is creating compelling experiences for a wide range of entertainment, retail, and consumer products brands - and finding time to do a little manual labor on the side.
